Sometimes I see consecutive php code put within many consecutive <?php and ?>, an example of this is index.php in many wordpress themes, why the code is not joined together in one php tag?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

One could discuss Wordpress for days, one thing that pretty much everyone agrees on though is that the code isn’t “pretty” (good?).
