Is it possible to have a php search function without using a database?

What would be searching? Static HTML pages?
It is possible, but I’d imagine if you had your content in a database it would be a little easier…

Standard search for words field for users. Like Google, but for my site only.

Yes. Search for words in html pages made by .php pages.
