How insert code on post

Hi I am new here.

How insert code on post in here. When I try to add code the site is messing it up like for example the links in the php code get changed. I did try adding tags < code > < / code >

How insert code on post in here. When I try to add code the site is messing it up like for example the links in the php code get changed. I did try adding tags < code > < / code >

When ever I am trying to post code I open it in my text editor and tab it across 4 -5 spaces then copy and paste it in using code and /code in [ ] brackets
